It's the most mangiacake time of the year!

It’s December and that can only mean one thing: Caker Christmas is just around the corner!

For those of you familiar with this blog, you know that Christmas is what started the caker ball a’rollin’. If anyone wants to read about my annual party, click here.

While I’d like nothing more than to invite you all to my house to partake in the festivities, I only have so many plastic forks.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t join the fun. Throughout the month, I'll post caker holiday recipes, holiday crafts and tips about how you can throw your own Caker Christmas bash.

Grab your electrician’s tape, Santa toilet seat cover and green food colouring. It’s going to be the cakiest Christmas ever.

  1. Ooh, I am positively tingling with excitement! There's a possibility we will be hosting an Open House, so I'm in the market for new ideas.
And if they happen to scare the guests, so much the better.

  3. I clicked back to the post about the original caker party and I think you just nailed down a vague but prescient cultural phenomenon. If no one has done it yet, I might file it off to Wikipedia as the defining source material for mangiacake.

Quick question: We're going to my mom's for Christmas this year. What caker delight do you suggest for a Yuletide of over-processed "easy to make" feasting? I was thinking Mocha truffles, sprinkled with Nescafe crystals, if memory serves.

  4. While I wouldn't want to deny your mom the pleasure of a Nescafe-sprinkled Mocha truffle (share the recipe if you can), I'd recommend you check out Monday's blog. Let's just say it's green, it's got corn flakes and your mom will never forget it.

  5. Oooh oooh--and little cinnamon candies, too?

  7. Yinzerella & Veg-o-matic: I am fundamentally opposed to using those cinnamon candies at any time of the year other than Valentine's Day. Suffice to say, you won't be seeing them Monday. But you will see a tasty alternative.
